Nutmeg Cake

8 oz. sour cream 1/2 c. oleo (margarine)
3/4 t. soda
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 t. nutmeg
2 c. loosely packed brown sugar
1/2 c. pecans

Combine sour cream and soda and set aside. Combine sugar, flour and oleo.

Blend with pastry blender until crumbly. Spoon half the mixture into a greased 9 inch square pan.

Mix the remaining crumb mixture with sour cream, egg and nutmeg. Mix well. Spoon batter over crumb mixture.

Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
