Oreo Cake
4 blocks semi-sweet chocolate
1 c. 10xx powdered sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
3 Tbsp. butter
18 to 20 Oreo cookies
Crush cookies and put in greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
Make syrup out of chocolate, sugar, milk and butter. Put in pan and cook at low heat until thick. Cool.
Spread 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream over cookies. Then pour the cooled chocolate over ice cream. Cover pan with lid or foil. Put in freezer for 2 to 4 hours before serving.
Oreo Cake
7 Oreo cookies, crumbled
10 oz. almonds, crumbled
6 oz. butter, softened
5 eggs, separated
7 oz. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 oz. rum
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, one at a time. Add Oreo cookies and almonds (crushed into powder with blender). Whip egg whites and fold into mixture. Add vanilla and rum; pour into buttered 9-inch pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool on rack and add cookie and almond crumbs on top.
