Polk-A-Dot Cake
Soak, cool, and set aside:
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 1/4 c. hot water
1 tsp. baking soda
Cream:
1 c. soft butter or margarine and 2 eggs
Stir in:
1 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Stir in:
Date mixture
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. choc. chips
Sprinkle over top of cake:
1/2 c. choc. chips
1/4 c. sugar
Bake at 350 for 30 min. Use 9x13" pan.
