Yuletide Red Velvet Cake
Cake:
1 pkg German Chocolate cake mix
1 cup dairy sour cream
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1 ounce bottle red food coloring
3 eggs.

Combine all cake ingredients, using mixing directions for whatever brand of cake mix you use. Pour batter into
greased and floured 9 inch round pans. bake 350 for 25-35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans.

Frosting:
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups margarine or butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla

In medium pan combine flour and milk, cook over medium heat until mixture is very thick, stirring constantly. cover
surface with plastic wrap and cool. In large bowl beat sugar and margarine or butter until light and fluffy. Gradually
add cooled flour mixture by tablespoonfuls, beating at high speed until smooth. Fill and frost cake.

I either sprinkle a mixture of red and green sugars on top or mini holiday chips or M & Ms.
