3 Ounces Semisweet Chocolate -- Melted
15 Ounces Seeded Raisins
3 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Butter -- Softened
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Reserved Liquid
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Allspice
Nutmeg Icing
2 Cups Powdered Sugar
2 Tablespoons Melted Butter
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Dash Nutmeg
2 Tablespoons Cream

1. Preheat oven to 350 ° and grease and flour a 9"x13" pan.
2. Cover raisins and cook 20 minutes. Simmer after they start to boil. Drain. Keep 1 cup liquid.
3. Cool raisins and liquid well.
4. Cream butter and sugar.
5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
6. Add melted chocolate
7. Add raisins to creamed mixture.
8. Add dry ingredients plus reserved liquid.
9. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes.
10. Cool thoroughly.
11. Ice with Nutmeg Icing or chocolate Icing.
