Sprite Cake
Cream together---1 1/2 cups butter 2 3/4 cups sugar
Beat unti light and fluffy
Add one at a time---5 eggs
Beat well, Add---3 cups sifted flour
Stir in ---2 tsp. lemon flavoring 1 cup sprite
Beat 2 minutes. Pour into a greased tube or bundt pan. Bake in a preheated over for 1 hour and 15 minutes. When done, cool in pan 15 minutes . Turn out on rack and finish cooling. May drizzle with juice of 1 lemon and enough
powdered sugar to thicken. I think the cake is sweet enough and never put a glaze on it.
