Tomato soup cake
1 tsp. soda
1 can tomato soup
2 tbsp.shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
dash of allspice
dash of clove
salt
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup currants
1/2 cup citron, (opt.)
1/2 cup chopped nuts
dissolve soda in soup. Cream shortening with sugar; add egg, soup, sifted dry ingredients, fruits and nuts in order
give. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. spred with white buttercream icing.
