Upside-Down German Chocolate Cake

Frosting:
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup water
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup coconut
1 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cake:
1 pkg. pudding included German chocolate cake mix
1 cup water
1/2 cup sour cream
1/3 cup oil
3 eggs


Preheat to 350. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 pan.

Frosting: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter with water, stirring constantly. Stir in brown sugar. Spread evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with coconut, marshmallows and nuts.

Cake: Combine all cake ingredients in a large bowl and mix at low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at highest speed.

Spoon over frosting in pan. Bake for 38 to 48 minutes or until a toothpick tests clean. Cool slightly.

To serve, cut into squares; invert onto individual dessert plates. Serve warm or cool.

12 to 16 servings.

High altitude: Above 3500 feet: Add 2 tbsp flour to dry cake mix. Bake at 375 for 40 to 50 minutes.
