Cake: Vanilla Chiffon Cake

Vanilla Chiffon Cake

2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 c. oil
7 egg yolks
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
7 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar


Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat together oil, egg yolks, water and vanilla in a separate bowl. Place dry ingredients into yolk mixture slowly, after mixed well, mix in egg whites and cream of tartar (which have been beaten). Do it with a spoon, very slowly. Put in greased and floured Bundt pan at 325 degrees for 55 minutes.


Frosting:
2 boxes cooking style vanilla pudding (recipe did not specify size)
2 c milk
1 c unsalted butter


Make 2 boxes vanilla pudding (not instant) using only 2 cups of milk. Put in mixing bowl, stir for a while, let it thicken. Mix unsalted butter in pudding. Beat together. When cake has cooled off, slice into six (6) layers, place frosting on each layer and top.
