Blueberry Squares

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 pound BUTTER OR MARGARINE
1 1/4 cups SUGAR
4 EGGS
2 cups FLOUR
1 teaspoon VANILLA EXTRACT
2 teaspoons BAKING POWDER
1 1/2 pints BLUEBERRIES
1/4 cup POWDERED SUGAR
DIRECTIONS:
Beat the butter with the sugar very well.
Add the eggs, alternatively with the flour, beat 5 more minutes.
Add vanilla and baking powder.
Fold into buttered pan. Sprinkle with all of the blueberries (on top).
Bake in a hot 400 degree oven for 45 minutes. (Check according to your own oven)
Remove. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. Cool. Cut into 32 pieces in
the
pan before serving.
Yields 32 squares.
