Cheesecake Frozen Peppermint

1 1/4 c chocolate wafer cookie crumbs
1/4 c butter, melted
1/4 c sugar
1 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 can ( 14 oz ) sweetened condensed milk
1 c (about 36 mints) crushed hard peppermint candies
Red food coloring, optional
1 pint (2 c) whipping cream, whipped

Stir together crumbs, butter and sugar in medium bowl; press on bottom and halfway up the sides of 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.

Beat cream cheese in bowl of electric mixer until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk. Stir in crushed candy and food coloring, if using. Fold in whipped cream.

Pour peppermint mixture into prepared pan; cover. Freeze 6 hours or until firm. Return leftovers (if you have any!!!) to freezer.
