Eli's Turtle Cheesecake

Chocolate Walnut Crust
1 tablespoon butter
1 9 ounce pk nabisco chocolate wafers -- finely crushed
3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1/3 cup unsalted butter -- melted
Filling
1 1/2 lbs cream cheese -- room temp
1/2 cup dark brown sugar -- packed
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
5 nestles turtles or fannie may pixies -- chopped
Milk Chocolate Ganache
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon butter
8 ounces milk chocolate chips

For Crust:

Coat bottom and sides of 9 inch springform pan with 1 tab butter. combine cookie crumbs, nuts and melted butter. In med bowl toss till absorbed. Press mixture into bottom and sides of pan. Refrigerate till firm abt 10 mins.

For Fillling:

In large mxing bowl beat cream cheese, brown sugar, sugar, flour and salt with electric mixer at med speed til free of lumps. Mix in vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time and yolk and continue beating till batter is smoothe.

Stir in candies and cream. Pour into crust.

Bake in middle of oven till it is fairly firm to touch(center will jiggle when pan is tapped) abt. 40mins. Cool on wire rack and then refrigerate at least 6 hours.

Remove from pan and decorate. Drizzle or spread on ganache and put pecan halves all around the edges. For Ga nache: Combine cream, sugar and butter in saucepan. Bring to simmer over med heat but do not boil.

Add chocolate chips and whisk till melted and mixture is smooth. Drizzle or spread on cake our use a piping tube to decorate. Put pecan halves along edges.
