Coffee Cake

1/4 cup soft margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
TOPPING:
3 tablespoons melted margarine
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1. Cream margarine and sugar, add egg and blend well. Stir in milk.
2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to batter; set aside.
3. Mix topping ingredients together.
4. In a greased 9x9" pan, spread ½ of the batter and sprinkle with ½ the topping. Repeat.
5. Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes.
