Grandma's 9x13 Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Cake: Bottom and Top:
1 box Yellow cake mix (about 18 oz)
1 box instant vanilla pudding (about 3.4 oz)
4 eggs
1/4 cup oil
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup water
Center layer:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbl. cocoa powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
Glaze:
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbl. hot water
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Beat cake ingredients well.
In separate bowl, stir together center layer ingredients until no more lumps.
Prepare a 9x13" pan. Pour in half of the cake, spread to cover, if necessary. Sprinkle on all of the cocoa mixture. Spread on the rest of the cake mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes or until it tests done.
Drizzle with glaze as soon as it comes out of oven.
