A Soft Frosting
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cream tartar
1 egg white
1/2 cup boiling water
speck of salt
seasoning of choice - such as vanilla, lemon, orange, etc.
Beat all together with electric beater until firm-soft. Spread between and on top of cake.
