Chocolate Icing

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
6 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter

Combine sugar and cocoa in a heavy skillet, stirring to remove all lumps from cocoa, add milk and butter.

Place over medium high heat, stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil, boil 1 minute, remove from heat.

Set aside to cool slightly, then use as desired.
