Cooked Buttercream Frosting

1 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1 cup butter -- room temp
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla


Combine milk and flour in saucepan over medium heat and stir till it gets thick and boils. Remove and cool till room temp. (must be room temp) Cream butter and sugar till fluffy. Add vanilla and cool flour mixture and beat till fluffy and sugar is dissolved. Put in refrigerator for 1/2 hour before frosting the cake.
