Fruit Cake Dark Christmas

1 6 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1/2 c. molasses
3 c. raisins
2 c. chopped mixed candied fruits and peels
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. flour
1/8 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped nuts

combine oj, molasses, raisins in saucepan. Cool over med. heat, stirring occassionally til mixture comes to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 5 min. Remove from heat . Stir in fruits and peel.

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift together flour, spices, soda.
Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in fruit and peel and nuts, mixing well.

Line one 11 x4x3 in pan and two 5 1/2 x3x2 inch pans with heavy paper. Pour batter into pans filling 3/4 full. bake
at 275 for about 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 hrs. for large loaf and about 1 1/2 hrs. for small loaf. cool cakes in pans. remove and
wrap in foil or plasic wrap. Store in a cool place for several weeks. Make 3 1/2 lb. of cake
