Chocolate Pound Cake
3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
6 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. cake flour, sifted
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add cocoa. Alternately add milk and flour; beat well after each addition. Add salt, baking powder and vanilla. Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 250 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Chocolate Pound Cake Frosting:
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick margarine
1 small pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream sugar and margarine. Add cream cheese. Blend and add vanilla. Frost cake.
