Chocolate Pound Cake
1 cup butter
6 large eggs
1 (8 oz.) carton dairy sour cream
2 1/2 cups plain flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Let butter and sour cream come to room temperature, (about 30 min.). Sift flour, cocoa and baking soda together. Set aside.
Cream butter and gradually add sugars beating until very light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately to above mixture. Mix just until combined.
Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for approx. 85 to 90 minutes or until it test done.
