Dulce de Leche Pound Cake

1-1/2 cups unsalted butter - softened
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown - packed
1 cup dulce de leche (1 can)
5 eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla
1-1/2 cups evaporated milk or regular milk
4 cups all purpose flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt


Preheat oven to 350 F. Generously grease a 9 or 10 inch angel food cake pan.

Cream the butter with the sugars and milk caramel until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then stir in milk, flour, baking powder and salt and blend on slow speed of mixer, until smooth.

Pour batter into cake pan and place pan on a baking sheet. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool well then turn out onto a cake rack to finish cooling. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Serves 12 to 14.
