Pound Cake

1 pound butter (no substitutes)
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
1 can Eagle-Brand milk
2 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt


Preheat oven to 325.

Grease and flour a tube pan.

Cream butter and sugar.

Add eggs one at a time, beating each separately.

Add flour alternately with Eagle-Brand (begin and end with flour).

Stir in vanilla.

Pour into greased and floured tube.

Bake approximately 1 1/2 hours or until cake tester comes out clean.

Cool slightly before removing from pan.
