Peanut Brittle

1 1/2 C. White Sugar
1 C. White Karo Syrup
2 C. Minimum, Raw Spanish Peanuts
3 TBS. Butter or Margarine
1 Rounded tsp. baking soda


In a heavy skillet or cast iron skillet combine the sugar and Karo and bring to boil. Add peanuts and cook until light amber color. Stir in butter and turn off heat. Add soda and stir. Pour onto cookie sheet to cool.
