Fudge Cherry Almond Fudge

CHERRY ALMOND FUDGE

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (3 oz) box cherry jello
¼ tsp. Salt
1 (12 oz) pkg. Semi-sweet chocolate bits
½ cup chopped almonds
½ tsp. Almond extract

In top of double boiler, over boiling water, combine sweetened condensed milk, jello and salt, stirring til jello is dissolved.

Add chocolate and stir occasionally til melted. Remove from heat, stir in nuts and extract. Spread evenly into wax-paper
lined 8" square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off wax-paper and cut into squares. Store tightly covered. Makes 2 pounds of fudge.
