Homemade Suckers

2 cups sugar
2/3 cup water
2/3 cup light corn syrup
flavoring
food coloring
Blend in saucepan the sugar, corn syrup and water.
Place over low heat, stirring until mixture boils. Now put in candy thermometer. Let candy boil without stirring. With pastry brush, wash off any crystals which may have formed on sides of pan.
When candy reaches 280 degrees, low heat. At 300 degrees, remove pan from heat. Allow to stand until all bubbles have simmered down. Add coloring and flavoring. Add the coloring gradually until desired intensity is reached. Pour candy into mold or pan. Makes 35 suckers.
