Creamy Peanut Butter Easter Eggs
6 Tablespoons Butter (melted)
1/3 Cup Light Corn Syrup
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
3 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 Cups Peanut Butter
Hershey's Simply Stirred Chocolate Coating (Below)
In a large bowl stir together butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt. Gradually add powdered sugar and peanut butter until well blended. Shape in Easter eggs and refrigerate.
Chocolate coating:
In double boiler heat 2 boxes semi sweet baking chocolate (Broken into pieces.)
3 Tablespoons plus 1 1/2 Teaspoons Shortening.
When peanut butter eggs have stiffened, dip into chocolate mixture and place on waxed paper and cool.
