Turtles I

2 T. butter
1 large Hershey® bar
1/4 cup canned milk (Milnot)
1 pkg. Kraft caramels
1/3 cup evaporated milk
pecan halves


Melt butter, Hershey bar and milk over hot water. Melt caramels and milk over low heat.

Place 3 pecan halves together on buttered cookie sheet. Spoon melted caramel over pecans. Then spoon chocolate on top.




Turtles II

1 cup sugar
4 T. butter
1/2 cup Karo® syrup
1 cup cream, divided
1 1/2 cups pecans
chocolate chips


Melt butter in saucepan. Add sugar, syrup and 1/2 cup cream. Cook until it boils. Then add 1/2 cup cream. Cook to 238 or soft ball stage.**

Put pecans in buttered 8X8" pan. Pour mixture over pecans. Cool.

When cool cut into squares and dip in melted chocolate.

**Soft Ball Stage: When dropped in cold water it will form a soft ball.
