Beef Cabbage Roll Casserole

Cabbage Roll Casserole

1 small head cabbage, finely chopped
1-2 lbs ground beef
1 onion, minced
1/2 C. rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 (8oz) cans tomato sauce
1 1/4 C. water

Place cabbage over the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. In a skillet, combine ground beef and onion and cook until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain any grease. Stir in rice, salt, pepper tomato sauce and water into beef. Mix well and cook until heated through. Spoon mixture over cabbage. Cover and bake at 350 F. for 1 1/2
hrs.
