Hamburger Pie

1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 can of drained green beans or whole kernel corn
1 jar of pizza sauce
1 tube of refrigerated crescent rolls
2 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack)
1 beaten egg
salt and pepper, to taste


Brown meat and onions. Drain well. Stir in pizza sauce and beans or corn. Heat through.

Pat crescent rolls into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate. Make sure to go up sides of pan. Bake at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes. Remove from oven and pour meat mixture onto crust.

Mix cheese with the beaten egg and spread evenly over the top of meat mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until crust is a golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Cool 5 minutes before serving so cheese has a chance to "set".
