Bagel Brunch Bake

4 eggs
1 (14 1/2-oz.) can chicken broth
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
2 cloves minced garlic
3/4 teaspoons dried dill weed, crushed
4 onion bagels, split
1 (7 1/2 oz.) can canned salmon or 1/2 lb. imitation crab meat
1 cup shredded cheese (Havarti was suggested)


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat together eggs and broth. Stir in onion, garlic and dill; set aside.

Cut split bagels into 2 or three pieces. Place bottom halves of bagel pieces in a greased 2 quart baking dish, cut side up. Spoon fish and cheese onto bottoms. Stack bagel tops over filling. Pour egg mixture over all.

Bake, uncovered, 35 to 40 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.If prepared the night before, bake 45 minutes.
