Hearty Chicken Noodle Casserole

1 (12oz) Pkg. Dumpling egg noodles, uncooked
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
2 (10 3/4 oz) cans cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
2 cups (8oz) shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
1 cup buttered soft bread crumbs


Cook noodles as pkg. directs; drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In large skillet, over med. heat, cook celery, green pepper, and onion in margarine till tender. Stir in soup, and milk, then chicken, cheese and pimento. Cook and stir till cheese melts.

Remove from heat; stir in noodles. Spoon into a greased 13x9 baking dish.Top with crumbs. Bake 35 minutes, or till hot and bubbly. Refrigerate leftovers.
