Sausage/Ground Beef Casserole 
1/2 pound sausage 
1 pound lean ground beef 
1 envelope dry chicken noodle soup 
2 cups boiling water 
1 cup chopped celery 
1/2 cup chopped onion 
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, optional 
1/4 teas. salt 
1/4 teas. pepper 
1/2 cup uncooked regular rice (brown or white) 
1/2 cup sliced almonds, optional 
Preheat oven to 350 F. Brown meats in a skillet on med. high heat. Drain off and discard any fat. 
In a 2 1/2 quart casserole combine the drained meat with remaining ingredients. Sprinkle almonds over top, if using. Bake covered for 1 hour.
