Sausage and Chicken Italiano

1 clove garlic, minced
1 medium onion,chopped
1 tbs olive oil
1 can (14oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 c uncooked regular rice
1/2 c hot water
1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
1 10 oz pkg frozen chopped broccoli
4 chicken thighs, skinned and boned
1/2 lb Italian sausage,cooked
1 8 oz can tomato sauce

Preheat oven to 375.

In skillet with oil, saute the onion and garlic. Set aside.

In an 8 x 12 baking dish combine the tomatoes and rice. Add the hot water, seasonings and the onion and garlic. Stir in the broccoli.Top with chicken thighs and sausages. Bake covered for 40 minutes.
