Potato Casserole

2 lbs frozen Ore-Ida (diced) hash browns - thawed
1 tsp salt
1/2 c melted butter
2 c sour cream
2 T minced onions
1 - 10 oz can cream of potato soup
1/2 c cooked & drained bacon (crumbled) pieces, (do not use bacon bits)
2 c grated sharp cheddar cheese (save about 3/4 for topping)
1 c crushed corn flakes

Thaw potatoes. Mix well all ingredients except crushed corn flakes and some of the cheese for topping.

Butter generously a 9 X 13 pan and spread mix in the pan (or pyrex dish). Sprinkle the cheese and corn flakes on top.

Bake about 40 - 60 minutes at 350 degrees uncovered. Make sure cheese has melted and corn flakes are crusty.

Can be refrigerated or frozen until ready to bake, but don't put topping on mix until ready to bake. Cold or frozen
potatoes will take a little longer so allow more time when baking.
