1981 World's Champ Chili
This was made by Fred Drexel of Van Nuys, CA.
2-1/2 pounds beef brisket in 1" cubes
1 pound lean ground pork Pinch of oregano (I like more)
1 finely chopped large onion 1 - 12 ounce can Budweiser
2 T Wesson oil 1-1/4 cups water
salt and pepper to taste 4-6 T Gebhardt chili powder
2-3 cloves minced garlic 2-1/2 T cumin
2 T minced green chilis 1/8 t dry mustard
1 - 8 ounce can Hunt's tomato sauce 1/8 t brown sugar
1 beef bullion cube Dash of Tabasco
Brown beef, pork & onion in the oil. Add remaining ngredients, bring to a boil. Stir & simmer covered 3-4 hours till thick & bubbly. Stir occasionally.
