Butterscotch Cheesecake Bars
Recipe by: Carole Harris
1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup margarine
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 325º F.
In medium saucepan, melt morsels with margarine; stir in crumbs and nuts. Press half of the mixture firmly into bottom of greased 13x9 baking pan.
In large mixer bowl beat cream cheese until fluffy; beat in sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and egg. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan, top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool to room temperature. Chill before cutting into bars.
