Cardamom Crisps Cookies
1 3/4 Cup flour
1/2 Cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon salt
7 Tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg white, beaten
Vanilla glaze (recipe below)
Preheat oven to 350º.
Combine flour, sugar, cardamom and salt in medium sized bowl; cut in butter/margarine with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Mix in whole egg and vanilla, stirring just enough to form a soft dough.
Place dough in bottom of greased jelly roll pan, 15"x10". Pat and spread dough, using fingers and small spatula or knife, until bottom of pan is evenly covered. Brush dough with beaten egg white. Bake until edges are lightly browned, 20 25 minutes. Cool in pan several minutes. Drizzle Vanilla Glaze over warm dough and cut into 60 squares.
