Momma's Chewey Cookie
1 stick butter
1 pound light brwon sugar
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and sugar over low heat, stirring constantly until both are melted. Remove from the heat.
Beat in the eggs and mix until well blended, Stir in the flour, nuts and vanilla until all are incorporated into the batter. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
Bake 325 for approximately 35-45 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
