Chocolate Caramel Shortbread
1 cup of butter
1/2 cup of icing sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/4 cups of all purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Beat butter, sugar and salt until fluffy, add flour; mix well press evenly into greased 9" square pan.
Bake @ 350 degrees 30 min. or until lightly brown
Topping
1/2 cup butter
1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand® condensed milk
3 tbl. corn sugar
3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
In microwave melt butter and stir in Eagle Brand milk and corn sugar. Cook on high 6to 8 min. stirring occasionally until mixture turns a light caramel color. Pour over base and drizzle with 3 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate.
Cool and cut into 20 bars
