Chocolate Cream Cheese Squares

3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided
2/3 cups finely chopped pecans, divided
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup M&M's semi-sweet chocolate mini baking bits

Preheat oven to 350*F.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/3 cup nuts, and cocoa powder; blend into creamed mixture. Do not overbeat.

Press two thirds of mixture onto bottom of ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking pan; bake for 1 minutes.

Beat cream cheese and egg until light and fluffy. Slowly add condensed milk and vanilla; mix until smooth. Pour over crust.

Add remaining 1/4 cup flour to remaining crust mixture until crumbly; sprinkle over cream cheese layer.

Bake 30-40 minutes until set. Cool; cut into squares. Store in refrigerator. Makes 24 squares.
