Congo Squares

3 eggs
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 lb. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 1/3 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup butter or Oleo
1 lb. package dark brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

In a saucepan melt butter, add sugar. Mix well, allow to cool. Add eggs one at a time, beat in well. Stir in flour mix, then add nuts and chocolate chips.

Spread evenly into a greased 9 x 12 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting into 2-3 inch squares.
