Cranberry Squares

Bottom Layer:
1 1/2 cups All purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup Butter of Hard margarine, softened
1/8 tsp. Salt

Second Layer:
2 Large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup raisins, chopped a bit
1/2 cup Medium coconut
3/4 cup Whole cranberry sauce, drained slightly

Icing:
1 1/2 cups icing sugar (confectioner's)
3 tbsp. Butter of hard Margarine
1 1/2 tbsp. Water or milk
1/2 tsp. Vanilla.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Bottom Layer: Measure all 4 ingredients into large bowl. Mix until crumbly. Press in ungreased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes

Second Layer: Beat eggs in same bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Spread over bottom layer. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 - 35 minutes until firm in center.

Icing: beat all 4 ingredients together in small bowl, adding more liquid or icing sugar if needed for easy spreading. Spread over cooled bars. Cut into 25 squares.
