Cranberry Walnut Squares

Cookie Crust:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup (2 sticks butter or margarine) cut in pieces
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Filling:
4 eggs
1 cup KaroŽ Light or Dark Corn syrup
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons butter or margarine melted
2 cups coarsely chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan with nonstick spray.

In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat flour, butter or margarine, sugar and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly into prepared pan.

Bake 20 to 23 minutes or until golden brown. Top with filling.

Filling: In large bowl, beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar and butter until well blended. Stir in cranberries and walnuts. Immediately pour over hot crust, spread evenly.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Cut into 1-1/2 inch squares.

Makes about 60 squares.
