Graham Cracker Pecan Bars
Graham cracker, enough to line a cookie sheet
2 sticks butter, not margarine
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
Line a cookie sheet with graham crackers. Try to place them to touch if you can. If you have a spot not covered, just break one and fit it in. Next, spread evenly with chopped pecans. Set aside.
Melt butter, add brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring with wooden spoon. Pour over graham crackers and pecans in a fine stream so you will have an equal amount all over. It will spread some. Brown under broiler until toasty and bubbly. Keep watch but don't hesitate to brown enough. Remove, let cool, and then cut into sections as large as you like. They store well and are delicious.
