Double Fudge Brownies

3 cups unsifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
4 cups semi-sweet chips
4 teaspoons vanilla
8 eggs
2 cups chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Combine flour, soda, salt. Melt butter, sugar and water. Remove from heat just as it boils and add all the chips and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Transfer to a very large bowl. Add eggs one at a time. Blend in flour mixture. Add nuts.

Spray 16"x12"x3" roasting pan with Baker's Joy. Spread batter. Bake about 45-60 minutes. The toothpick test will have the center moist. This needs to be watched since the edges can burn before the center is baked.
