Fudge-Topped Brownies

1 cup Margarine or Butter, melted
2 cups Sugar
1 cup unsifted Flour
2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Milk
3 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 cup chopped Nuts, optional
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Hershey's semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Sweetened Condensed Milk

Preparation Time: 1 hour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large mixer bowl, combine margarine, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, eggs, milk and 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla; beat well. Stir in nuts if desired. Spread in greased 13 by 9-inch pan.

Bake 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Just before brownies are done, in heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and remaining 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla. Remove from heat. Immediately spread over hot brownies. Cool, chill, cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.
