Janes Luncheon Dessert
Layer one:
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
1 (1-ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 eggs beaten
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup all purpose flour
Layer two:
2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate morsels
2 cups miniature marshmallows
Icing:
2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pound (4 cups) powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Layer one: Cream butter and sugar. Add next four ingredients, and mix well. Spoon inot 13x9x2 inch pan. Set
aside.
Layer two: Combine cream cheese, butter and sugar. Add next four ingredients; mix will. Spoon carefully over
chocolate layer in pan. (Do not mix layers together.) Sprinkle with chocolate morsels. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
Remove from oven. Top with marshmellows.
Icing: Combine chocolate, milk and butter in top of double boiler, over barely simmering water. Cook until chocolate
melts, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla and powdered sugar.
Immediately pour icing over brownies, (before it start so set.) Cool in refigerator for
at least 4 hours, best if overnight. Cut into squares, keep chilled.
