For Brownies Layer:
1 cup cocoa powder
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup peanuts, chopped

For Peanut Butter Layer:
1 cup creamy-style peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar (confectioners)
1 tsp. vanilla

For Glaze:
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
or 4 oz. chocolate chips)
1/4 cup margarine or butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt the butter and add the cocoa powder and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely melted. Mix in eggs and 1 tsp. vanilla into chocolate mix until well blended. Stir in flour and peanuts.

Spread batter in greased 13x9" pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgey crumbs. Do not over bake.

While brownies are cooking, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar and 1 t. vanilla until well blended and smooth. Immediately spread over the hot brownies. We suggest you put 'blobs' over the surface and spread when it begins to melt a bit.

Melt semi-sweet chocolate and 1/4 cup margarine until both are completely melted. Spread over peanut butter layer. You can do this immediately or later, whichever you wish.

Optional: Put chopped peanuts on top of the chocolate layer. Cool until set. Cut into squares.
