Layered Dry Cookie Mix in a Jar
This recipe, presented in a canning jar, is almost too pretty for recipient to eat!!!

1-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
6 oz. semisweet chocolate morsels
6 oz. butterscotch morsels
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
Quart size canning jar

Layer ingredients in a quart sized canning jar in following order:

Walnuts or pecans
Butterscotch morsels
Semisweet chocolate morsels
Coconut
Graham cracker crumbs.

Instructions to attach to Jar:

Melt 1/2 cup of butter. Add top layer of graham cracker crumbs. Pat evenly in bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle remaining layered ingredients into crumb mixture and spread even with spoon. Pour 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk evenly over all. Bake in 350F oven for 30 minutes; cool. Cut into bars. Makes about 36 bars. Jar Cover: Add lids and rings and close tightly. Cut circle of holiday fabric with pinking sheers (if you have one) and place over cap, securing with rubber band. Attach
instructions. These make really pretty gifts (with very little work!!)

To attach instructions:

Punch a hole in corner of paper with a heart punch, and using ribbon, or twine, tie around lid hiding rubber band. Also attach a wooden spoon to jar! You could even make it a gift package by taking a 13x9 pan, draping a pretty holiday towel inside, and adding mix, can of condensed milk, and perhaps a package of hot chocolate or gourmet coffee.
