Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 sticks oleo, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups quick oats
2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cream oleo and sugars in a food processor then add eggs and process until well blended.
Place oleo mixture in a large bowl and add salt, soda and vanilla, mixing well.
In another bowl, combine flour and oats, then mix into oleo mixture about 1/2 at a time.
Add the chocolate chips and nuts and drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 7-11 minutes or until brown and crisp.
Makes about 4 dozen.
